The Nutrition Edit is currently completing credentialing with select commercial insurance plans. At this time, appointments are available on a self-pay basis.

If you would like to use your insurance, please contact us. We are happy to discuss our credentialing status, verify eligibility once we are contracted, and notify you when we begin accepting your insurance plan.

Appointments are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and microphone. Virtual visits provide the same individualized nutrition care as an in-person appointment while offering greater flexibility and convenience.

At the time of your appointment, you must be physically located in a state where your Registered Dietitian is licensed to provide services.

In most cases, no referral is required to schedule an appointment with The Nutrition Edit.

However, some insurance plans may require a referral or prior authorization for nutrition counseling to be covered. If you plan to use insurance, we recommend checking with your insurance company or contacting our office before your appointment. We are happy to help determine whether a referral is needed based on your specific plan, but it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure medical nutrition therapy is covered by your plan.

If you are paying out of pocket, a referral is generally not required.

I am currently licensed to provide nutrition counseling to patients who are physically located in Georgia or Texas at the time of their telehealth appointment.

If you are located outside of Georgia or Texas, please contact The Nutrition Edit before scheduling. Depending on your location and applicable state laws, we will be happy to discuss whether services may be available or provide guidance on your options.
